DC has been running the TV with their arrowverse shows for some time now. But soon, the arrowverse will not be the only universe running on your screens. Next year, DC will release  Titans on their own digital streaming service along with season 3 of Young Justice.

The Cast For DC’s Titans So Far

While most of the cast has been revealed as of now ( Teagan Croft as Raven, Anna Diop as Starfire, Brendan Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove), Beast Boy has still not been casted as of now. With early production undergoing for the show, fans can expect some news about the show’s plot in a few weeks now.

Coming to the villain part, ThatHashtagShow has reported that in the Titans series premiere, the team will face the Acolyte. Described as a male, African-American, between the age of 40 and 50, Acolyte is one of the lesser known villains from DC. According to the report, Raven’s adopted mother Angela will be killed by the Acolyte in his attempt to kidnap Raven and use her powers for his own personal gains.

The Acolyte, who appears to be inhuman has blue skin and horns growing out of his head but was eventually shown to be a fraud. He’s actually a mentally-disturbed human wearing a disguise. The Acolyte claims to be immortal and professes to be as old as mankind itself, although there is no proof to substantiate these claims as yet. Last seen, the Acolyte attempted to hypnotize and brainwash small children of the United States through the use of a popular television program called “The Hugga-Tugga-Thuggees.” The Young Justice were able to stop his plan but he himself escaped.

The involvement of Acolyte with Raven’s mother hints at Angela’s part in the series to be of importance. It appears that Raven will have lived her life on Earth as a normal human until the events of TV show began.

Titans premieres on DC’s digital service in 2018.
