Marvel Cinematic Universe has been riding high with their Netflix shows. While Daredevil, Jessica Jones and LukeCage were successful, Iron Fist turned out to be a disappointment. Then Netflix released the iconic team up of the four superheroes and that too turned out to be a mediocre one. While fans have very high expectations from The Punisher, who’s release date has still not been released, we still want more from Netflix.
There no denying that Netflix brought a different touch to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while majority of the change was good, some also left us disappointed. But that doesn’t mean Netflix cannot try on other superheroes from the Marvel Universe. Here is a list of 5 superheroes we thing would be great for the next Netflix series.
Marvel tried the iconic Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage and we all know how that turned out to be. After two terrible Ghost Rider movies, Marvel finally tried the character with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and he sure heated the things for the show. But we’re still not convinced with this Spirit of Vengeance.
Breathing fire is not the only weapon of Ghost Rider. He can literally smell sin (Weird though), raise the dead and that’s still not enough. His most powerful weapon is undoubtedly the Penance Stare. The Penance stare is a power with which the Ghost Rider can set someone’s eyeballs on fire and force them to feel the agony of a billion souls. (That’s a lot of pain and agony for sure).
Namor The Sub-Mariner
Aquaman might be the ruler of Atlantis in the DC universe but Namor rules the sea for Marvel. While not much people know Namor The Sub-Mariner, he’s probably one of the oldest characters from the Marvel Universe. The offspring of a sea captain and an Atlantean Princess, Namor has been both a hero and a villain.
What about his powers you ask? Superhuman strength, flight ability, aquatic adaptation, telephatic control over the sea creatures. That’s just some of it. One would think how such an overpowered character could be shown beside the likes of Jessica Jones and Daredevil? Well fear not people, Namor the Sub-Mariner has been a key member of the Defenders in the past. So there’s still hope.
Agent 13/Sharon Carter
We already know Agent 13 from the Marvel Movies (Captain America : Civil War and Captain America : Winter Soldier). First introduced in Winder Soldier, Sharon Carter was played by Emily VanCamp. Aside from her obvious relation with Peggy Carter and that she’s one of the best and brightest from the S.H.I.E.L.D, we know nothing about her.
The answer to why she needs a Netflix TV series is simple. She’s awesome that’s why. We got a taste of how S.H.I.E.L.D agents work in Agent Carter and then the makers decided to cancel it. Obviously people were disappointed. A series about Agent 13 would make up for that for sure.
This one has already been introduced to us and some people might not even know it. Almost every Marvel fan has seen Jessica Jones and if they have seen it, he sure cannot forget Patricia Walker, Jessica Jones’ best friend. Well that Trish Walker has a secret superhero identity in the Marvel Comics and guess who it is. Yup, Hellcat.
Hellcat is an amazing hand-to-hand combatant for sure, but she also has some mystical powers. Psionic, super sight, telekinesis. We’re already excited. Rachael Taylor is already an amazing choice for the role and we’d get to see more of Jessica Jones. Do it already Marvel.
We saved the best for the last. Once called as a Batman rip-off, Moonknight is one of the best Marvel characters right now. Moonknight suffered a great deal of trauma over the years. He might even be insane as a matter of fact. But that didn’t stop him from being a superhero.
On the surface, he might just look like another Marvel street fighter but there’s more to him than meets the eye. Moon Knight believes that he is an avatar for the Egyptian god of vengeance. Honestly, he’s the closest to get a series right now, as rumors have been coming in for months about a new Netflix series now. It would be great to see Moonknight take on the crime in New York.
So here It is. 5 shows we think would be the best for Netflix to start with right now. Do tell us which character you want to see in a Netflix show in the comments.
